“Gold” is a 1983 single by the British new wave band Spandau Ballet from their flagship third album True. The song is Spandau Ballet’s 2nd best-charting single behind their previous release “True”, reaching #2 on the UK Singles Chart (being held off the top by KC and the Sunshine Band’s “Give It Up”), and #29 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart. A music video was created for the single, which contains the longest-held note by any male artist in any song released during the 1980s.
