Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, released in 1973, is the seventh studio album by British singer-songwriter Elton John. It has come to be regarded as Elton Johns best and most popular album, and is his best selling studio album with worldwide sales of at least 31 million copies.
Recorded at the Château dHérouville, the album contains the Marilyn Monroe tribute, "Candle in the Wind", as well as three successful singles: "Bennie and the Jets", "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", and "Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting".
