"Limelight" is a song by the Canadian progressive rock band Rush. It first appeared on the 1981 album Moving Pictures. The songs lyrics were written by Neil Peart with music written by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. "Limelight" expresses Pearts discomfort with Rushs success and being in the limelight. "Limelight" also employs some of Shakespeares phrases (one of which was previously used as a title for a live album). The single charted #4 on the U.S mainstream and #55 on the U.S Hot 100, and is one of Rush's most popular singles.
