It struck West that he really wanted to be married and have a family, but it hadnt worked out for him. The song serves as the introductory track within his fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak. It features then-newly signed GOOD Music artist Kid Cudi, and was co-produced by West with Jeff Bhasker and Plain Pat. Despite not being released as a single at that time, the song managed to enter the pop charts. The song did feature on the KISS Playlist and the 1Xtra Playlist in the United Kingdom.
