The single was relatively well promoted, with Melanie promoting on radio, TV, and doing magazine interviews, while also going into Europe to do some promotion. When released on 24 February 2003, the single initially hit a midweek position of #4, but during the week, it fell down the chart to finish up at #7 - with Christina Aguilera, Ainslie Henderson, and Kelly Rowland in front of Melanie. “Here It Comes Again” sold around 19,000 copies in its first week, and by the end of its chart run, it had sold around 40,890 copies - which was quite disappointing.
