"Ironic" is a pop rock song written in the key of B major, and includes a moderate tempo of eighty-two beats per minute. Although its lyrics try to describe "ironic" situations, it was noted by some people, including comedians and satirists, that the song was not doing it, earning critiques and parodies, as well as corrections to make it "ironic".
