Steppenwolf 7 is an album by the band Steppenwolf, released in 1970 (see 1970 in music), and their fifth studio recording for Dunhill Records. It is the first Steppenwolf album with new bass player George Biondo. While the album featured Steppenwolfs trademark rock and roll sounds, none of the songs were able to make the Top 40. The album featured a classic cover of Hoyt Axtons "Snowblind Friend", their second cover of one of his anti-drug songs (the first being the famous "The Pusher"). Other tracks such as "Who Needs Ya," "Renegade," and "Hippo Stomp" stand out as often-mentioned additions to their catalog. Read full article at wikipedia.org
