"You and Me" is a song by The Moody Blues from their 1972 album Seventh Sojourn. It is the albums fifth song, and it is the first song on side two (on the original LP).
"You and Me" was jointly written by band members Justin Hayward and Graeme Edge. It primarily features Justin Hayward on lead vocals. John Lodge, Mike Pinder, and Ray Thomas also provide backing vocals during the songs chorus. Pinder and Thomas also sing the lead vocals at the end of the song, during the final rendition of the chorus.
Like their previous song "Question" (from A Question of Balance), which principally was a protest of the Vietnam War, "You and Me" also alludes to the war in its opening line, "There's a leafless tree in Asia." Read full article at wikipedia.org
