Crystal Ship by The Doors
Genre: Rock
Year: 1967
"The Crystal Ship" is a song by The Doors from their 1967 debut album The Doors. It was also the B-Side of the number-one hit single, "Light My Fire." It is regarded as a love song to Jim Morrisons first love, Mary Werbelo. Like much of The Doors work, it sets up an eerie, dark flow. Its rumored to have been the bands first long song, especially for Ray Manzareks and Robby Kriegers improvisations, but was changed by When the Musics Over. The inspiration for the "crystal ship" is an oil rig off Sands beach in Isla Vista, California. Read full article at wikipedia.org
